There are 4 components to health and fitness:
1) Aerobic or cardiovascular exercise, such as biking or running
2) Anaerobic exercises, such as weight training or pushups
3) Flexibility, such as stretching
4) Balance, your ability to know where you are in space to prevent injuries and falls
I believe that balance is one of the most overlooked aspects of health and fitness.
Balance is quite a buzzword these days. Having the right work-life balance is vital for a healthy life. However, the balance that I am referring to is an even distribution of weight, enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady. Improving your balance is important for all ages and can be done in just a few minutes each day. Improved balance will improve all of the other aspects of your fitness and protect you if you trip and fall.

Please exercise in a safe, open space because these balances aren’t easy!
